Dougie Reid's Team wins Ne'er Day Bonspiel

Although only eight teams took part in the Ne'er Day Bonspiel on 2nd January, the competition was fierce and tight. Going into the last group games it was all to play for - whoever won their games progressed to the final stages!
Murray Stevenson was just too strong for Bobby Ireland whilst the soft release of big Dougie Reid saw off Tom Andrews to progress to the High Road final. In the other section young Sean Rennie lost to Bert Andrew whilst Rab Clark defeated Jim Wilson.
The High Road final between Clark and Reid came down to the skips' final stones and it was big Dougie who made his last shot on the keen ice after seeing Rab's attempted draw sail through the house.
The Low Road final was an uphill struggle for Bert after losing a four in the second end against Murray.
