Intercity Ayr v Stranraer - Agnew Plate

On Tuesday 17th, Ayr hosted three teams from Stranraer in an Intercity match competing for the Agnew Plate. Ayr teams were skipped by Margaret White, Jim Boswell and Jamie Mason. Ayr won 2 games to 1. The winning rink was skip Jamie Mason, Mary Shaw, Ken Ireland and Elizabeth Shaw with a resounding 12 points to 3 against skip Hugh Templeton. Margaret White peeled against skip Donald McColm and Jim Boswell beat skip John Gilmore 10 points to 6.
As a result, Ayr retained the Agnew Plate.
Catherine Stevenson kindly presented Jamie Mason with the Plate.
It was great to have Stranraer back with us after the difficulties experienced over last two seasons. Thanks to Lorrie and Staff for excellent meal and service. Thanks also to Amy and bar staff too.
