Gavin Hamilton's team are 2nd at National Masters

Gavin Hamilton's team of Allan Forrest, Euan Lawrence and George MacNaughton qualified top in a tough section at the Masters.

In their semi final they beat Barton Henderson by 5 shots to 4 to secure their place in the final, where they played Sandy Nelson.

This was high class and very close game, but Gavin's team lost a 3 at the 6th end from which they couldn't quite recover, losing eventually by 7 shots to 4.

The winning team from Kinross was Sandy Nelson, Willie Paterson, Alan Barr and Donnie Scott.

In the ladies final, Margaret A Robertson and her team of Venetia Scott, Gillian Smith and Liz Cullen beat Mary Barr by 6 shots to 1.
