Next Monday (19th October) we, in conjunction with the Royal Club, are holding a curling Strategy and Tactics seminar in the dining area. Hopefully, you will have seen the posters dotted around the lounge.
The discussion is being led by Barbara Macfarlane whose RCCC job title is Performance Development Coach and she is being assisted by, in his own words, the "up and coming" Billy Morton, part of the winning rink once upon a time in the New Year Bonspiel.
Please don't be put off thinking this is just for the "elite" curlers. It is aimed, very much, at club curlers to give them a greater awareness of what their skips should be trying to achieve and it will be interesting to hear Babs and Billy explain how Billy's dad, with a team of old crocks managed to beat them in the first Super League game !
The cost, payable on the night, is £5 which will go to the Development Group to support their tremendous efforts to get more people involved with our sport and it would be great to see as many Ayr curlers as possible attending.
The date again - next MONDAY 19th OCTOBER at 7.30pm.
I look forward to seeing YOU !
