'Last night the Colonel's Medal was once again played for between the clubs of Dalmellington, Straiton and New Cumnock. This Medal was first presented in 1854 to be played for between the parishes of Carsphairn, Dalmellington qnd Straiton according to the rules ofthe RCCC.
Dalmellington won both of their matches and so were presented with this magnificent medal. We are delighted that we have been able to continue this competition for yet an other year and thank all the participating curlers for their friendship and continued support.'
