The final games of our qualifying campaign for this year were played on 20 February 2019 . After a defeat in our opening game against Lockerbie (4 points to 2 points ) and splitting the points 3-3 against both Dumfries and Greenacres, we needed to take all 6 points against Stranraer to guarantee our place in the finals.- It all looked really promising after the first couple of ends! – then unfortunately things started to “not quite go to plan” with the visitors eventually winning two games and Ayr winning one making the final score 4-2 to Stranraer. Alas, no trip to the finals for us this year.
Thank you to the squad of Neil Kennedy, Richard Goldie, Billy Howat, Murray Stevenson, Shaun Rennie, Liam Scott, Jim Strang, Tom Neill, John Davers, Johnny Johnston, Bobby Ireland, Bert Andrew, Mark Pieroni, Robert Anderson and David Bell for giving up their time to play. It’s very much appreciated. Thanks guys.
