Please note that due to the special circumstances which exist currently, regarding the government advice on the need for social distancing and the avoidance of large gatherings linked to the COVID19 pandemic, we are unable to hold our AGM on 27th August as intimated. Regulations allow us to issue all the relevant paperwork and ask for any questions or objections to be forwarded to myself.
Unfortunately, due to ill health, my Vice President Rob White will be unable able to step up to the post of President but he will remain as Vice President for the 20/21 season.The committee discussed many options on how best to proceed and eventually it was decided that I would stay on as your President for another year and I am happy to do so.
We have vacancies for 2 male and 1 female Committee members. To date we have the requisite number of nominations but if any club has additional nominees can they please forward their names to me in advance of 27 August.
At an AGM members are accustomed to receiving various papers & reports; all necessary paperwork should be sent out, by email/hand delivered as appropriate, by early next week and in advance of 27 August.
Thank you for the excellent support you have shown to the Committee throughout the end of season and lockdown period. When you return to curling next season you will arrive back to a greatly improved facility. I know some of you will be very wary of returning but we will need your support more than ever and we will make everything as safe as we can possibly make it.
