A great day was had by all who attended President Aileen’s Day on Friday 26th Nov.
Ten rinks played 8 end games, with a very sociable break after 4 ends for mulled wine or hot chocolate, served by Lorrie and Ian.
Prior to the meal, prosecco was served and prizes awarded to the winning rinks - 1st Moira Drummond, Katy Pieroni, Jane McTimpaney and Heather Dalgleish. 2nd - Carol Simpson, Janice Sutherland, Joyce Arnot and Sandra Taylor- well done ladies!
Following a lovely meal of sole with prawns in a cheese sauce, attendees enjoyed coffee with strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Ladies enjoyed a raffle which made over £200 for Maggie’s Meals, guess the baby competition and made pretty paper tea light candle holders to round off the evening. Alison Young won the prize for sitting in the lucky seat.
All in all a great afternoon with a good number of Past Ayr Lady Presidents in attendance.
