Ayr Ladies met Dumfries Ladies on Monday 2nd Dec, at Ayr, in their second Morton of this season.
The teams were as follows:
Team 1 Cat Eccles (skip), Barbara Morton, Corrie Lawrence, Janice Sutherland.
Team 2 Gail Thomson (skip/Captain), Ali Cunningham, Eilidh Templeton, Ann Naismith.
Team 3 Margaret White (skip) Morag Evans, Beth Rowley, Mara Lindsay.
Scores were Team 1 WIN (15-2)
Team 2 WIN (8-5)
Team 3 WIN (6-4)
The result was 3 wins for Ayr, winning us 6 points and +18 shots.
Curlers enjoyed a friendly soup and sandwich lunch following the games and were entertained by funny stories from our guests. Ayr Captain, Gail Thompson, thanked Dumfries for attending and wished them a safe journey home.
Our total now is 10 points and +19 shots.
Our next and final game is on Wednesday 8th January, AWAY to Lockerbie Ladies.
Only one team from our section will qualify for the Morton finals at Forfar in March. Good Luck Ayr!
